Grandma Killed In Mobile Home Fire ID'd: York County Coroner (Update)

The woman killed in Tuesday's second fatal fire has been identified by the York County Coroner's Office.

Jo C. Zartmen, 71, was found dead in her home on March 12, according to the Northern York County Regional Police Department and the York County Coroner's Office.

The call to the fire within Thomasville Commons Mobile Home Park at 26 Chesapeake Estates at 7:58 a.m., as detailed by the York County Department of Emergency Services and the NYCRPD.

Officers arrived to find the home locked "but could smell smoke" so they "forced entry" and found the woman who had already passed. She was officially pronounced dead at 9:05 a.m. by a coroner.

"There was evidence of a fire in the area of the deceased," the police stated in a release.

Fire Investigators found that she "was oxygen dependent and had been smoking at the time of the incident."

Jo was New Oxford Senior High School graduate and was a grandma who loved to spend time with her family, according to her social media. Funeral and memorial service details were unavailable at the time of publishing.
